Damnation
Damnation, the first in our long lineup of Belgian-inspired beers, is a medium-bodied golden alke. Pilsner and pale malts along with a Belgian yeast strain give this beer a nice balance of fruit and spice. Damnation is refermented in this bottle to create its fine carbonation. Spend yeast cells form a thin layer of sediment in the bottom of this bottle. Pour slowly, allowing the natural yeast sediment to remain in the bottle. (Zitat Russian River Brewing)

Pliny the Elder
Pliny the Elder was a Roman naturalist, scholar, historian, traveler, officer, and writer. Although not considered his most important work, Pliny and his contemporaries created the botanical name for hops, "lupus Salictarius", meaning wolf among scrubs." H ops at that time grew wild among willows, much like a wolf in the forest. Later the current botanical name, humulus Lupulus, was adopted. Pliny died in 79 AD while observing the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. He was immortalized by his nephew, Pliny the Younger, who continued his uncle’s legacy by documenting much of what he observed during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Pliny the Elder, the beer, is brewed with 40% more malt and over twice the amount of hops as compared to our already hoppy IPA.

STS Pils
“STS” is the 3-letter code for our local Sonoma County airport, the Charles M. Schulz Airport. STS Pils is a classic German-style
pilsner but with a Russian River twist because we dry hop this beer with a small amount of European hops. It is straw in color
and will often have a slight haze due to the fact that there is a small amount of yeast left in the beer. This beer is hop-forward
with a firm malt foundation, strong lager yeast characteristic, and a dry, bitter finish.
A truly great Pilsner is a difficult beer to perfect, as its light crisp flavor profile leaves little room for error. Modern
brewing techniques (such as open-top fermentation) and old-world traditions create the distinct qualities in STS Pils. (Zitat

Happy Hops was originally brewed by the Grace Brothers Brewery in 1944 right here in Santa Rosa! Their brewery went out of business in the 1960’s, but we wanted to resurrect “Happy” and a new fun beer for him to enjoy! It is also a way for us to pay homage to the Grace Family and their brewing pioneer history. Happy Hops is an incredibly hoppy India Pale Ale with an immense hop aroma and flavor and a mild bitterness. (Zitat Russian River Brewing Company)

Mind Circus
Mind Circus IPA has a mild bitterness and a thick, luscious mouthfeel. This style of IPA is what is being called in the beer
world a “Hazy IPA”. Dominantly herbaceous and grassy, with moderate tropical notes as well as some bright citrus. This unique
hazy IPA gains its flavor of grapes and grass from the Nelson hops, and its tropical notes of pineapple and mango from the
Strata hops. It is unfiltered leaving a “haze” and some yeast for more texture. Oats were also used to add to the softer
mouthfeel and hazy appearance.

Beatification
This beer is very unique and inspired by breweries in the Lambic region of Belgium and, especially, our friends at Cantillon. It is 100% spontaneously fermented, meaning yeast is not added. Once the beer is brewed, it is transferred to a cool-ship or “horny” tank located in our barrel room at the pub. There it sits overnight and collects whatever funky wild yeast and bacteria may be living in the room. The next day it is transferred to oak wine barrels where it ferments wildly and ages for a few months. The end result is a wild, spontaneously fermented, sour, and tasty hand-crafted beer! Intinction Sauvignon Blanc
Although we have made this beer once before, it was only available on our guided tour and for special events. The base beer is a Pilsner aged in Sauvignon Blanc barrels with the addition of Sauvignon Blanc grape juice from the 2018 harvest for a secondary fermentation. The juice and barrels are from Dutton Vineyards in the Russian River wine appellation here in Sonoma County. There is no lactobacillus or pediococcus added to the beer, only brettanomyces. The tart acidity comes from the wine grapes. This beer is delicate and beautifully balanced, a perfect refresher on a warm summer day! (Zitat Russian River Brewing Company)

100% Simcoe hops make up this beer from start to finish! It is named for the location in the experimental hop yard in Yakima, WA, where it was first created. Simcoe is grown by 3 families in the Yakima area, from all of whom we buy this particular hop (and other hops) — Carpenter, Perrault, and Smith. This is one of several beers we plan to make in our NEW “Hop Grower’s Series” highlighting certain hops from our growers! Dribble Belt
What the heck is a Dribble Belt? Aside from being a hoppy, tasty low-gravity session beer, a dribble belt is a very important component of a hop picking machine. The dribble belts separate the hop cones from the rest of the plant material- the vines, stems, and leaves. Multiple conveyors beneath the dribble belts collect the lightweight hop cones and carry them along through the machine to the kiln where they are dried. The vines, stems, and leaves are then transported to become compost. Interestingly, the hop picking machine was invented right here in Santa Rosa, California, by Florian Dauenhauer in the early 1940’s. This invention changed the hop farming industry forever. The dribble belt is the machine component that literally separated the hops used to make this beer! (Zitat Russian River Brewing Company)
